Electricity and Natural Gas Update – October 2021

Posted on 3 November 202115 November 2021 By pnccadmin

Energy pricing continues its surge that began earlier this year due to variety of issues spelled out in previous posts.  Current factors include tight storage as we head into winter, for example here in the Great Overtaxed Northeast our region’s storage supply is 8% lower than year ago, 5% lower than 5-year average.  This is significant especially if we have colder than normal winter.  Best to be at or above last year’s level, preferably above as homes now use significantly more energy due to stay at home workers.
