With today’s settlement/expiration of the December natural gas contract, we close out a year of stable, favorable pricing driven by record production and, currently, forecasts for milder-than-normal December weather. This has created excellent opportunities throughout the year to lock in your electricity and natural gas supply rates through 2022 and beyond.
Winter is upon us and the threat of sustained cold here in the Northeast always drives pricing. Should we experience a cold winter this would impact forward pricing resulting in higher fixed rates. My recommendation continues to be the same, it hasn’t changed – lock in your electricity and gas now. Protect yourself this winter and beyond.
Thanksgiving Day is here, please accept my gratefulness to all of you for your patronage throughout the years. I’m also thankful to be living in our great country. Following is brief excerpt from George Washington’s first Thanksgiving proclamation issued on October 3, 1789:
“Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor, and whereas both houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.”
Happy Thanksgiving!
