Per attached you’ll note natural gas futures pricing is somewhat lower since last contacting all of you. This winter is becoming much like last winter – mild December followed by early-January cold blasts, followed by a milder mid-to-late January. Warming spell is forecast for part of next week that will bring total heating degree days in line with last winter’s numbers.
As we’ve said many times over the years, look at the calendar. Winter is moving along, February is a short month and traders now tend to look at winter in the past tense. With ample gas in storage for the rest of winter, and barring any unexpected sustained cold, futures pricing should experience stable to lower pricing.
Excellent time to look at fixed rates for both gas and electricity. Please contact us anytime.
