October and November 2016 Electricity and Natural Gas Update

Posted on 1 November 2016 By pnccadmin

Here we are on the last day of October with the largest inventory ever (on this date) of natural gas in storage – 3.91 trillion cubic feet (TCF). Predictions call for a record 4+ TCF before winter drawdown begins. Only sustained cold temperatures this winter will significantly impact the large surplus of natural gas available to meet heating demand. Will we have a cold winter? Time will tell.

With natural gas futures pricing at very favorable rates, and knowing “it won’t last forever” because gas is a commodity, now is the time to lock in both natural gas and electricity supply rates. Many of you are locked in, some are not. Please contact us at your earliest convenience to discuss.
