Energy futures pricing continues to be “low and range bound” however, we’re coming into summer heat season as well as forecasting for hurricane activity in the Gulf of Mexico. Hot summer means potential for higher electricity and natural gas pricing; predictions for an active hurricane season also impact direction (higher) of energy prices.
We’re in the midst of nice run of lower energy pricing due to amply supply and record storage of natural gas. That being said, lower pricing will end at some point as we’re dealing with a commodity and historically this is a cyclical business – always has been, always will be.
