Per the attached you’ll note virtually unchanged natural gas futures pricing during month of April. Robust gas production continues, keeping prices in check.
Moving forward, it’s all about summer temperatures – if upcoming forecasts call for warmer-than-normal temperatures we could see higher pricing. Conversely, if normal or cooler-than-normal temperatures are forecast we may see lower pricing. Additionally, hurricane forecasts will be out soon and historically impact the market. The last significant hurricane activity in the Gulf occurred in 2008 and markets have been calm ever since. Some say we’re due for an active hurricane season, time will tell.
It’s time to lock in your electricity and gas rates, 24-month minimum. If you’re not locked or in contact with us about your energy supply, please contact us ASAP.
